Guardian of Broken Hearts - ADO Challenge Piece

Finally I've finished my ADO Broken Hearts Challenge Piece..."Guardian of Broken Hearts". My thinking behind this is that often when one's heart is broken, we try to hide it. It is like a guardian takes it and protects it for us...however at times we can't help but let the world see - thus, the open skirt.

She is sculpted from polymer clay and affixed to a modified vintage birdcage. The hearts in her basket are also polymer clay. She is dressed in vintage silk and antique lace and trim. Her hair is tibetan mohair. She stands approximately 12" tall. I plan on putting her in my Etsy shop later today.

she is lovely... I must figure out a way to get more done in my day...I am trying to figure out how to work with clay.... I even took a class.... but just can't seem to get anywhere yet... with no practice, of course, it won't happen...

Days whiz past and I am left wondering.. what just happened?
