Manic Monday

Mondays can be a bit of a shock to the sytem after the weekend, however the Monday after a holiday weekend can be brutal!
If you don't work outside the house, perhaps you are following Grandma's rules of the week, Monday is always washday.

Wash, rinse, wring

Hang out to dry - it's Monday though, so it is probably raining.

Not all of us are lucky enough to be at home (drats, laundry will have to wait!) And, it's off to work we go to try and make a dent in the left over files from last week and all the "urgent" new stuff for this week.

We try and squeeze in some time to run some errands (because everything was closed on the holiday, and guests depleted the milk, toilet paper and wine....and have to remember aspirin!).

Hopefully you were not silly enough to schedule a doctor or dentist appointment for this day!

Time now to fight the hustle and bustle and make your way back home, the new bottle of wine awaits!

I hope your Monday is going smoothly, you are able to accomplish what you plan on, and it is not too manic!

Please note that all the above pics are from a favorite site of mine, Shorpy.com

Don't hate me because I have Monday's off (it does mean that I am working on Saturday's when most everyone else has gotten into full weekend mode). :)

I DO follow Grandma's rules, too ... and have actually accomplished quite a lot, thank you.

... and love the images that you chose for this post.

Wishing you a week full of wonder!

Hehee, great pics! No such luck--I actually am having a light day since clients have canceled on me--but this means LESS money :(

Everything is in reverse for me...my company is coming next weekend...however, I am doing loads & loads of laundry having it put off due to a creative binge....and I am low on TP.

I LOVE these pictures and what you have to say about them... very creative.
Mondays.... well I am lucky enough to stay home not... wasn't always the case.
But yes there are days to different things... Sunday is my wash day. Monday's I'd like to hide under a rock... and wait for Tuesday : )

Love the old pictures..the old washer brought back painful memories. My brother caught my hair in the rollers and just kept rolling..big brothers are such a pain.
For me laundry day is Sunday along with other chores..getting ready for the ever dreaded back to work MONDAY, :) Oh well something has to pay the bills....

What a lot of work putting all of these pictures together! That alone would make one too tired to do laundry!

Dear Sue, your blog is wonderful and your dolls are amazing.

These pictures are so fun and even though I think of everything as simpler back then, it sure does not look simple.

Congrats on all your awards.

Love Renee xoxo
