The Gypsy Caravan

One of the most brilliant ideas I've seen is the One World - One Heart Event

This was started by Lisa Swifka of A Whimsical Bohemian two years ago as a way for bloggers worldwide to discover and meet each other. Each participating blogger offers a giveaway on their blog, with a chance for anyone that comments on that particular post to win the item. OWOH runs this year from January 19 to February 12 and to date there are 475 blogs listed as participating.

A nasty flu bug and torn muscle has put a crimp in my plans to participate in the giveaway this year, however I have had so much fun visiting the blogs that Lisa has listed on the OWOH site. I have made new friends and discovered such a vast pool of talented people worldwide. Many of these blogs, if not for this event, I may never have been aware of.

Some of the bloggers are giving away more than one item, which is SO generous of them. I just visited Remnants of Olde

and they have a novel entry format which will give you up to 4 chances to win one of 7 items. And, their artwork rocks!

If you haven't already done so, please check out The Gypsy Caravan on the One World One Heart site and be prepared to be enchanted and enthralled

Sue! I am so glad to have made friends with you :) You are an amazing artist and a riot! May we forever be bound by our sheer love of blog verification words!

By the way, the word that popped up here: rearkee...now put THAT in a sentence!! :)

Zan, you were one of my new friends that prompted me to post this blog
entry. I'm so thankful that I
have met you through the OWOH event, and also discovered your art. I WILL one day own one of your pieces!

"rearkee"...that is as bad as the "cophess" I got on your blog this morning. Rearkee = a fast action dance move where one's butt is kept in almost perpetual motion. LOL

I was just going to say thanks for the link, but your definition of rearkee has me in stitches (and hoping I have a word worthy of a great definition, too!)

wishing you speedy recovery

LOL, you have to admit that so many of the google verification words, do
'seem' like real words. Zan suggested that Goodgle should have some kind of contest on coining definitions for them. :)

Thank you for your well wishes!

Hi there Sue!

Thanks so much for mentioning our giveaway here and for entering!!

I just subscribed to your blog and I'm looking forward to getting to know you through your posts. The blogging thing is rather new for me and words can't express how glad I am to have started. And especially this OWOH event is profound for me. I'm having so much fun seeing all this great art and learning of artists.

Your work is absolutely exquisite and I'm really glad I found you!
