- I love fantasy as it leaves everything to the imagination and gives one the freedom when creating to express this. My inspiration often comes from antique bits of lace and/or fabric, old photos, antique display items, found objects in nature. A lilting tune can also inspire me, as can other artists' works. I live in a wonderfully quaint town approx. an hour northeast of Toronto, Ontario with my hubby and our dog and cat. Both daughters have flown the coop.

I too am saddened by the passing of Mary Travers...she had a hell of a voice and was a wonderful activist.
She was one of a kind...her voice, her activism,her humanity. And that hair...how it moved, how much I wanted it. Makes me very sad...and it makes me feel all that much more mortal....She was one of THE voices for my generation.

I wasn't around when she was alive but I am also saddened by what seems to have been a wonderful woman. That, and Patrick Swayze's death have made this a sad week!
OMG I didn't know she died... I loved her wit and voice.
