I can't remember where I saw this, but coffee lover that I am,
I thought it was brilliant! What a great gift this would be for that special couple that not only love each other, but also love their coffee!I'm hoping to finish up these Kindreds this weekend - they still need at least a day's work. The one in front with the long sleeved black dress will be a dark angel for the ADO February angel challenge.
I know I'm jumping from one thing to another in this post, but it is
titled "Saturday Snippets". On Thursday I was thrilled to receive several parcels in the mail. I belong to the Vintage Fashion Guild and twice a year we have a members-only yard sale. SOOOOOO much fun! From two of the members I purchased (at a complete steal) the antique handbags below:The beaded drawstring one is in almost perfect condition. Unfortunately the beaded leather bag has a case of leather-eczema but parts of it can be salvaged. I think the small leather belt coin pouch would look great in a collage shadowbox.
Several weeks ago I finally got around to purchasing some back issues of some of the Somerset Publication mags, and I also received them on Thursday! I can't wait to delve into these! I love the inspiration I find in these mags and after seeing so many varied and talented artists on the OWOH blog event, I have a yearning to spread my wings and try out some different mediums and styles of work.
Before I close, I want to give mention to a giveaway on the very talented Lisa Gatz's blog
It is for the newly published Steampunkery book. I want this book and I hope I win, however it would be selfish of me not to let others have a chance too (right?). Either click on the link above, or click the button for Lisa's giveaway at the top of my lefthand tool bar so that you can enter too.
Okay, I'm off to have lunch and then out to run some errands!

I love little *Snippet* posts! Sounds like you've had a great week. The gene thing...is that a girl? I'm assuming so but with pants on and no jewelry...hmmm.
Great mailbox finds too and you'll have to share what your new creations might be. I'll also go check the new giveaway site.
Thanks Sue and have a great weekend.

Hi again :-) I showed my hubby the coffee scupture, He said Ooo thats just my cup of tea, I said No Coffee darling :-D
It's quite clear that they're siblings because they have on matching shoes. D'uh. Can't fool me by similar body characteristics!
Love the coffee sculpture ... if my dad was still alive, it would so be my parent's next Christmas gift!
A dark angel?! ooooh. My favorite kind of angel!
What a terrific mail week you had! I love having weeks like that. I have never heard the expression 'leather eczema' before - but I have every intention of using it a lot now.
Fun post! - AND I just adore that photo of the little boy running home from the patisserie in time for dinner!

Love your blog! That little boy so looks like me when it comes to bread! LOL
The last time I went to the bakery I was so eager to get home and eat my whole bag of bread that I got in a minor fender bender!
