Learning a new skill, a new slant on a known subject, a new method of creating something...just about anything that one may desire and attempt to learn to add to their brain banks is usually an exciting and rewarding adventure. We crawl into the idea we want to learn about, stumble at the beginning and then as we get that glimmer of "ah ha" we start to run with it.
In today's fast paced world we often don't give ourselves the time to really absorb what we are learning. To savour the facts and intricasies of the subject at hand. We get impatient and way too serious....and we invariably miss some little element that may
make a huge difference in the end result. The pic above contains a wonderful lesson for all of us:
Laugh while you learn and remember to walk before you run!

Sue...What a wonderful pic and post. We often stumble while we learn (seems I always stumble first before I get it). As I sit here, I'm looking over at one of my "stumbles" (another of my unfinished projects). I think I will put her next on the list to finish after my "adventure".

What a cute picture...aww Sue, but sometimes running is more fun :)
Thanks Sue for that wonderful reminder...
Now where did I put my brain........
I love this post! It is so true and just to be reminded of it makes all the difference. I have to tell you how much I loved the last video you put up. I spent the whole evening last night listening and watching their videos. It was fun!
that picture is almost as priceless as your reminder ... thank you.
I'm glad that you (collectively) have enjoyed this post. I thought of it last night when I was actually trying to learn some new pointers about my camera. I really don't like reading instructions and trying to figure out why 'this' works - and 'this' doesn't. I just want to DO IT!
Then I was going through some of the picture files on my computer and came across this charming little baby and it all tied in!
Kim, I really enjoy Blackmoor's Night.
Glad you like it too!
Great post..love the picture. I think you have to laugh while learning or the learning just becomes work. I'm like you I just want to DO IT but learned eons ago that you start with baby steps before you run..Save alot of wear and tear on the knees...
Nothing like a baby's laugh! I think a sense of humor is ever so much more important than looks....and I have to have a sense of humor when I look in the mirror! :) Seriously, laughter is the best medicine!
