I haven't had any hang tags for awhile for my pieces and have recently started making my own.
Blank commercially produced shipping tags would be the best way to go, however the closest Staples is several towns away from me, so I copied some templates off the internet, sandwiched several pieces of paper together, cut out and glued, stained, painted, added some embellishments, the pic of the piece, sealed and voila...individual hang tags for each piece.
The back of the tag has any pertinent information (i.e. name of the piece, date and my name). These are a lot of fun to make and I love that each one applies to only one unique piece.
Oh wow, oh WOW! awesome. It is such a gorgeous finish for a work of art. I so admire the skill and beauty of your dolls, now, admire how you present them as well.
What a wonderful, thoughtful idea...great marketing too....I just read something about the importance of tags and such...and adding a 'how to care for' bit. I'll see if I can find it again...hope you had a wonderful Easter!
They are wonderfull Sue,
such a fantastic finish to your beautifull art pieces,
And they are way cooler than a plain ol' Staples tag, anyway! Love them.
Beautiful tags Sue and handmade is the best any day! Perfect to put on your pieces of art work I agree. Wish I could make them as gorgeous as this. Have fun!
Great idea! So personalized and special to the buyer. Really nice.
WOW! This is quite an endeavor, and they look so lovely Sue! I didn't know you made tags! Awesome!
Sue, they are beautiful!! So vintage and yet artsy, I love them!!

Those are just beautiful! Little art pieces. :)
Wonderful Idea Sue!
They are perfect!
They are wonderful..art in their own right..would you ever think of making and selling these? Just amazing!
They are beautiful!
Not surprisingly, these are the best hang tags ever. I make my own, too - but they're nothing like these!
Good on you! So clever.
Your tags are beautiful, Sue and they complement your dolls perfectly!
what a FABULOUS idea!!!! and so much more special than a store-bought tag! :)
Hi Sue! Your tags are beautiful! I so enjoy making tags too. Love how you created them from scratch. These are perfect additions to your magical creations! Blessings to you! :)
Oh, now I feel so bad about the tags that I add to my items. Yours are a work of art. Perhaps it was the fact that "Staples" is fairly close to me that my artistic creativity was blocked....that is my story and I am sticking to it!
really lovely Sue, and they are a whole lot more special than the staples blanks ! I also think you could do something like this to sel as gift tags, they are beautiful !
Sue, these tags are beautiful. I love how you put your own artwork on them, and added the lace. Love it! Thanks for sharing...Hey, you should head up a Tag Swap over at ADO...what fun would that be? LOL
Have a great day my friend and keep creating your magic!
Wow! I love these tags, they are really beautiful. They are little art pieces all on their own. A perfect addition to your beautiful artwork.
These are GORgeous, Sue! Your lucky clients will receive another art piece with their purchase - it's an added bonus. Brilliant and creative! Hugs, Terri xoxo
The tags look wonderful Sue! I need to do that sometime too.
P.S. I thought of you when posting the Taiwanese boy singing--he was wonderful! :)
Fabulous Tags, they will surely be appreciated.
Oh I love these! You Clever Girl!!
Your tags are fantastic - what a brilliant idea, I know they are meant to go with the dolls, but I bet they would be popular - I'd buy them just cos they are so pretty!! many artists sell prints of their dolls, these are totally unique!
OOh, I see my little girl... yeah, I can't wait much longer to have her with me, I wish Canada wasn't so far away!!
Happy Sunday Sue :O)
Sue...those are soooo cool! Love how you used your own doll images. Don't you just love hang tags? I think they are little works of art in themselves! Very sweet! ;-)
