Amazing

Unfortunately, the embedding code for all the Youtube videos on this has been disabled. If you have not seen this on the various newscasts, etc., PLEASE click the above link and be amazed as this quaint, rather frumpy lady from a little village in Scotland appeared recently on Britain's Got Talent.

I had tears in my eyes.

(small note...when I posted this just after 5:00 pm there had been just over 5 million people that had watched this video since the weekend. There are now over 9 million approx. 5 hours later. This video hasn't just gone viral, it is epidemic. Yaaaay for Susan Boyle).

Oh Sue....I saw it today for the first time! I had goosebumps and was all puddled up with joy for her! Talk about dreams coming true! She has such a special gift! Amazing!

Hehee, Sue, I saw this today too and was going to post it on my blog as well :) I think Britain's Got Talent won't allow for the embedding content!

Hmm, I didn't think she was too frumpy--just someone more from the country-side-- i.e. they might not look "sophisticated" but are salt of the earth people...and I'm all about salt of the earth! :)

Joycee, love the "puddled up with joy", that says it so well!

Zan, you are right - totally salt of the earth. I have to admit though when I first saw her, with her bushy eyebrows, plain-jane hairdo, and rather unfashionable outfit, I was NOT expecting her to sing as she did. As the female judge said, it was a wakeup call. I don't consider myself as one who judges by
initial appearance, BUT I did. Wake up call indeed.

Definitely a life's lesson reminder in this clip.

Sue, thank you for sharing...truly touched my heart, that beautiful, soulful woman, sharing her gift and having part of her dream come true...and she was soooo humble. And yes, the tears came...her voice wow!

Julie, yes - I think that is one thing that is so touching about this. This humble woman, who had a dream since she was young and she had
the gumption to put herself in front of a huge tv audience and boy did she fool us. Really inspiring.

I saw that the other day and I had to swallow the lump in my throat. It was beautiful and there should be more wake-up calls like that...

Quickly my husband and I had a wake-up call a week or so ago. We were at a stop light and my husband says looks at that guy he looks so mean. I look and say yes, maybe even in a gang. (He sure looked the part) There's a homeless man on the corner and we see this young man motion over to him and he gave him 2 10$ bills.... we just sat there with our mouths open... Goes to show... can't judge a book by it's cover...

I saw it yesterday and she is amazing. I think she is beautiful and enchanting~

Hey Sue I see a blog feed in my feeds from you about Art Dolls on Etsy but everytime I click on it to read it says it doesn't exsist. What am I missing?

Hehee, Sue, I was actually rooting for her! I love "underdog" stories.

This may be because she reminds me of women of that age in the village where my mother grew up in Hungary. They actually all sort of dress that way. They don't follow fashion magazines as there are no stores that sell them--and I don't think those ladies care. They aren't as "polished" as we might be used to, but those ladies all are great at what they do, probably gone through many hardships--and seem happy despite it all. And, yes, I think even I could take a lesson on that :)

Joanna, it is a post I was working on and is still in draft form, however by accident I published it and then had to delete it. Hope to have it done soon - I screwed up several of the links.

Pattee, loved your story about the
"mean gang-member" LOL. I probably would have thought the same. Goes to show how we as a society pin-hole people.

Zan, exactly!

I saw the clip yesterday on the View and I was dumbfounded! Her voice is incredible and definitely, a divine gift! Again, one should never "judge a book by it's cover," and I think Susan Boyle proved that!
