I do not consider myself a very religious person - by that, I mean I don't follow any organized church. I have studied quite a few religions and try to follow doctrines of several of them, and it makes for an eclectic mix. I do consider myself spiritual. I was brought up in the Protestant faith and like the other Christian faiths, today is an important day...Good Friday. The above obituary I found on Father Gilles site and thought it gave a straight forward and unique way of reporting on what transpired so many thousands of years ago.
I wish everyone a joyous and happy day, however you may be observing it

I like the last part - donations may be given to anyone in need. Cleverly worded piece.
Very interesting and I too like the donation to the needy.
I was raised Christian but never thought of myself as one.
My husband is Jewish and he practices Buddhism.
I am spiritual in my own beliefs...
I hope the sun shines so I can be outside this week-end.
Thanks Sue for sharing the obituary~
Pat
Heather, I really like the last part too. Pattee, our extended family is a mishmash of faiths, Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Buddist, Baha'i and Pagan - makes for interesting family celebrations, and we all get along wonderfully.
Sue this is beautiful! Thank you for finding and posting this for all of us to see.
Happy Easter...
Cheers!
hey Sue, just wanted to pop in and shout a Happy Easter to you and yours.
:)
With all the people of this country are going through right now everyone should read that post. The last line says it all...one day we could be the person in need of an act of kindness, a meal, or just someone to listen...
Thank you Sue, A good reminder and a interesting way of saying it. Makes you think, thanks for sharing that.
thank you & hoppy Easter, too!
